At the invitation of the CRIST S.A. Shipyard, on 24 March 2016 in Gdynia we participated in the official handover of the ZOURITE barge to the owner. It was a perfect change to see that one-of-a-kind barge equipped with the largest floating gantry in the world, of the lifting capacity of 2,400 tons.
The specialist heavy lift jack-up barge (constructed by the CRIST Shipyard) on eight “legs” will be used in the construction of the most expensive road in the world, the 5.5-kilometer section of the freeway along the French island of Reunion in the Indian Ocean, ca. 700 km to the east of Madagascar. The freeway that will be constructed at sea.
The “Octopus” is the size of four tennis courts, and the total mass of its hull is ca. 5,000 tons.
Attis Broker provided the security in the form of insurance coverage of the construction at each stage of execution of the contract, starting from analysis of the contract documentation from the point of view of insurance, to preparation of insurance policies in the scope of construction, civil liability and accident insurance.
